John Marshall Miller, the thirty-four year old that simply enjoyed his job for several different reasons. Some was honest, others wasn't so much. He was good at his professional career, Mathematics, Algebra one for the freshman class in highschool. He was the type of guy that liked getting along with anyone and everyone that entered his life any shape or form. He thought that was normal, some would say it was but others it wouldn't really be normal considering most of the people that he talked to had a little anti-social flare about them that just made him want to dig around in their little minds.
On his first day of teaching this year, he found a student that was brilliant in his subject and that just drove him wild so he kept that student around for personal reasons, like grading papers and such.
Now he found myself sitting on a park bench thinking about what had happened at last weekend at his camping retreat with Lexiella and Abagail.

new york city, new york. a place carina had only been once before, when she was a little girl. it was big, widespread, just as she had imagined. now she lived there, in a little apartment on the edge of the city, surrounded by bustling streets and tall street lamps, buildings that skyrocketed into the blue unknown and people that never slept. it was different than buffalo in nearly every way. in that small town, you knew everyone, there were long stretches of land and electric fences kept animals in, not criminals. she found her way around this new big city easily enough, mostly with the help of alek. her boyfriend. her..boyfriend. never in a million years had carina thought that she would ever find someone so amazing, so perfect, so..for her. he loved her in every way possible, and she tried to love him back that same way. no words described what he was to her, what he made her feel. butterflies always swarmed in her stomach when she saw him, her heart raced when his lips touched her skin. whatever he was to her, carina never wanted anything else. ever.
the park was quiet today, which was unusual. a few kids were scattered around, hanging from the monkey bars, slipping down the aluminum slides. carina walked casually, lethargically, as she scanned the grassy spaces. she recognized a familiar face which belonged to a man sitting on a nearby bench. her math teacher, in high school. he had always been nice to her, a teacher she felt like she could go to if she was having any issues. he was real, down-to-earth. he listened. she smiled and waved a little bit, hoping to catch his attention as she walked over to him. hi, mr. miller, standing a little awkwardly by the bench, she motioned to the empty seat next to him. could i..sit? she offered an innocent smile, one that usually got her what she wanted.

Unlike what people thought from John Miller, was that he has traveled to quite a few places. He was sitting in the park to think of everything that has happened on the weekend where is most praised student's was busy with the maze, they went to a camp thing out in the woods. Being the way he was, he could already sensed someone looking at him like it was burning a hole into his stomach. Acting calmly, he gave a uncaring glance behind him to see who it was then glanced forward for a minute then back to the grade book and papers to be graded, it would certainly be nice if his favorite current student would come by and help him with these papers. But he figured that she was busy recovering from the past two weekends. That was always due-able though. Then he noticed that someone sat beside him, what was her name...hmmm Carina something. Hearing a female voice from behind and nodded, "Yes, Miss Carina. How've you been, dear?" he said then added, "Aren't you in college now? or did you go straight to work?" he asked, trying to get to know what his former student has been up too. .
