it was late, the sun was beginning to set over the california horizon, casting colours of every shade imaginable across the town. it was beautiful, really. the sunset was always beautiful in lilly. but, then again, as she looked out the front, dusty window to her apartment, there was one thought she couldn't get out of her head. one image. alek. he was by far the most perfect person that she had ever met, his golden blonde hair falling gently in front of his blue-green eyes, the eyes that were the same shade as the ocean. carina couldn't help but smile whenever she thought of him, a silly, goofy smile that she couldn't wipe off her face.
they were going to a bonfire tonight, one held locally by a bunch of kids in the neighborhood. at first, she had been neglectful to go, but eventually alek had convinced her. she could never say no to his crooked smile and his soft kisses. she wasn't wearing much, just a t-shirt and jeans, her sunglasses tucked in her shirt. her hair was rather normal, falling in natural waves around her face, her hand occasionally running through it nervously. she couldn't wait to see him, in all his perfect glory. she found it hardly bearable to be without him.
