Alek had woken up that morning in a very cheerful mood. He had told Carina, the girl that he had began to like that she should get dressed because they were going to do something the next day. Alek had a picnic all set up. He had gotten their earlier then he told her to be so he waited a bit and watched some kids run around in the distance. They were so cute.
Ever quickly crossed his mind and so he texted her. The night before he had called Ever and told her about this wonderful girl. This wonderful, beautiful brown haired beauty. Ever had seemed happy for him but distant. Ever was always so damn distant. Fuck. He texted her asking her if she was okay. After several moments she texted back 'yeah. i think so. sorry i was quite last night. i was tired. like..really fucking tired. Alek responded that it was fine and that he was just worried about her. She responded with thank you.

carina woke up to a sliver of light shining in her eyes, peeking through the partially closed blinds. she squinted, pulling her sheets up over her eyes, groaning quietly. but the moment she closed her eyes, the dream she had had replayed in her mind. first, alek, standing underneath a full, green tree, lights sprinkled between the branches. he was smiling, that crooked smile that she found adorable, wearing a dress shirt and tie, rolled up to his elbows, black dress pants cutting him perfectly. she was wearing a simple blue dress, her hair falling in gathered ringlets around her collarbone. she didn't move; she couldn't. he walked towards her, painstakingly slow. once he was standing in front of her, he reached a hand up and traced down her jaw line with his fingers, stopping at her lips. she was frozen. she couldn't do anything. but then again, even if she had been able to, she wouldn't have stopped him. she watched as he leaned in closer, inches from touching his lips to hers.
and that's when she woke up. she flicked her eyes open again, pulling the sheets down and slipping out of the bed, rubbing her eyes. the dream had been perfect. well, nearly. it didn't take long for her to get ready, and by eleven thirty, she was in her car, speeding to the park. for some reason, she couldn't wait to see him again. he occupied her mind, her thoughts. whatever she did, she found herself wishing that he was there with her. it was a new feeling to her, this attachment. but whatever it was, she hoped he felt the same thing.
the park was rather busy at that time of day; kids running around, dog walkers occupying the sidewalk, parents eating lunch at nearby tables. but all of that seemed to disappear when she recognised alek, sitting at a neatly set-up picnic. she grinned a little foolishly as she stepped tentatively toward him. it was like her entire world had just gotten a little bit brighter. carina caught his eye and waved a bit, her pace speeding up. she slid off her shoes and touched the soft checkered fabric with her feet, letting her legs fall beneath her in a criss-cross. she smiled at him, biting her lip gingerly. hi

Seeing Alek made Carina smile. They had met at Starbucks. It was intresting but not a pleasant start of meeting someone. Alek hadn't been upset. He was calm as a person could be in the situation when he had already had a bad morning. Alek thought he delt with it well and he figured the girl felt bad so he wasn't upset.
Ever had been in the hospital most of her life. Alek remembered clearly when he was fifteen snapping at his sister saying my god. you were meant for this. shut the fuck up and DEAL. Which was not a proper response but he was young and didn't fully understand everything that was going on.
Alek smiled up seeing Carina again. She was very beautiful. "Hello. How are you?" He smiled, happy. This girl made him happy.
