A gentle breeze caressed Lucy's dark hair. It was a perfect day out. The kind of day that made the world seem like a wonderful place. The temperature was not warm nor cold. Lucy rested her cheek against a tattered clothed chest, Hareton. His arm snaked around her waist, as the two of them sat with their backs to a tree trunk.
Lucy closed her eyes and let herself enjoy the sweet smell of fresh grass. It was as if all of her problems in the world had just melted away. No emotionally unstable friends with problems. No creepy guys hanging around her friends. It was a beautiful thing.
"
I've changed my mind about her." Hareton told her, after he planted a soft kiss on the top of her head.
"
But she's your girlfriend. Just yesterday you were saying how much it pained you to give her up." Lucy replied separating from Hareton, an expression of puzzlement crossing her eyebrows.
"
And, who are you?" A girl emerged from the forest. Suzanne, almost right on cue. She knew Lucy's name. They used to be super close friends. Ah, the ol' close friend turned secret enemies. Just when Lucy had begun to question Hareton about his love for Suzanne, she appears. Lucy looked to her side, where Hareton had suddenly vanished. She scanned the area for a quick second, only to find another girl, coming from the forest.
"
Oh, come join the fun, Luce." Silvia stated, walking toward Lucy. She placed a cigarette between her lips, lit it, and blew the smoke into Lucy's face. Silvia was a walking skeleton, only a tenth flesh, the rest of her was all bone. "
Vinny, won't you tell her?"
Vincent followed Silvia, as he was called, and joined her side. They clasped hands for only a brief second, before their lips crashed into eachother's, like they couldn't control themselves.
"
Oh my love, come join all the fun." A familiar voice called after her, just as she turn her back to leave. His hands gripped her waist tight, and turned her to face him. Hareton. The rest of the forest friends cornered her against that same tree. All wearing black except for Hareton, who wore a ragged white tux shirt that was covered in blood. There was something weird about the look in all of their eyes, it wasn't just cruel, there was also hunger?
Hareton flashed a twisted grin before sinking his teeth into Lucy's neck. A scream escaped Lucy's throat just as the once perfect sky released a clap of thunder.

Lucy awoke with a gasp, her phone vibrating in her back pocket. She ran her hand over her face. Well that was certainly a strange dream. She shook her head, and removed her phone from her pocket, and checked her messages. That was right, she was texting Zephyr and somehow fell asleep for five minutes while watching Wuthering Heights, and listen to Pandora. Weird combination.
An even weirder combination was Lucy spending her time in a pot house, which was exactly what Zephyr had proposed in her last message. She read the text over again, just to make sure she had read it correctly. Zephyr usually came over her house, when they wanted to hang out. This was just too weird. How could she say 'no' without sounding rude? There really wasn't a way around it.
With a reluctant sigh, Lucy replied with one simple word.
Sure. She grabbed her car keys, a pack of grape kool-aid, (the only way she'd stay sane), and was out the door in five minutes.
Lucy exhaled as she parked in the O'Malley's driveway, bracing herself for the fumes ahead of her. She just have to get over herself. With the slam of the car door, she forced herself to walk up to the door and knock.
