Zebra stripes and purple peacocks did not match, yet the two socks were folded neatly on the coffee table. There was nothing more that Jane Wiggins, hated more than mis-matched. Lucy took at glance around the dim room. The shade of the paint was supposed to be a 'warm' beige color, it just looked even more lonely when nobody was home. It was so quiet in her house tonight. Usually there would be some kind of obnoxious music/TV show in the back ground. Nothing tonight though. Her mother had gone to some class re-union this evening, told Lucy that she wouldn't be home until later. How much later, was the real question on the table.
Lucy sighed at the loneliness of the room, before sinking into a chair. She didn't want to be home alone all night. It was scary. Not that she lived in an un-safe neighbor-hood, she just didn't know what to expect. If someone really wanted to get in her house, they would. Home security was not good enough. She would have to black-mail someone to stay the night with her. Or something like that. Or.... Selena was coming over... Lucy just remembered. She couldn't believe she almost forgot, as she sat there wallowing in self-pitty.
There could only be one problem about Selena, and that was her creepy friends that might come with her. People like Ryan or Derrek. People in her little smoking circle. Did it bother Lucy that most people she knew did drugs and smoked, and drank, and everything in between. Yes. It did. But could she do about it? Nothing. If any of these joker friends of Selena's didmake an appearance, they would probably leave five seconds later.
Lucy peeled her legs from her leather seat, snagged her favorite pair of jean from the coffee table, which sent that fake-pair of socks onto the floor. It sent shivers throughout her body thinking just thinking about one of Sel's creepy friends seeing her in gray short shorts. Lucy stripped herself of her soffee shorts, and wiggled into her skinny jeans. Sliding her phone into her back pocket, she walked into the kitchen and grabbed the frying pan. She needed something to defend her self with if her stupidity failed her.
Lucy walked out the front door and sat on the porch. Might not have been the smartest tactic when dealing with the people she was, but she had no other strategy. Playing with her raven hair she hummed a tune from 'The Lion King'. Always a family favorite. Her fingers fumbled with braiding her hair, as she released a sigh. The was probably the most exciting thing she'd done all week, even though she could almost taste the annoyances she would soon face.

outfit Selena had only smoked one day and that was one of her morning cigarettes. After that she had sprayed herself with perfume. She always smoked before and after she ran at five am. Selena always got up early in the morning, high on starvation she managed to run that early. People thought it was weird. Selena quite enjoyed it. Most mornings she slept at Ryan or Derrek's house. They didn't know what was going on with her. That she had an eating disorder, or that her father was crazy and abusive. Derrek, Ryan and Selena loved being around each other. Even though Derrek and Ryan's friendship was somewhat strained.
That day was kind of normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. She spent that day with her friend Luna and hadn't really done much. It was a very calming day. No drugs or drinking then. It didn't mean she wouldn't do them any other day. She was trying to be clean for the day because she was going to go with Lucy somewhere and she was sure if she showed up at her house drunk it would bother her. Plus, Selena wasn't sure if her parents would be home or not.
When she left Luna's she stopped by Derrek's house to drop of some weed and Derrek (illegally) drove her over to Lucy's house. Selena protested against being driven. She wanted to burn the calories by walking to Lucy's but didn't say that. When they got to Lucy's home Selena thanked Derrek and walked up to Lucy's house and knocked. Derrek was still there, in the car lighting a cigarette and making sure Selena got into the house before he left. Selena ignored it.

Naturally, the frying pan that equipped young Lucy, was no use against the vicious bug. Honestly, what good would it do, waving around kitchen ware to just have the nasty creatures fly form into another cloud. Bugs were just stupid, Lucy finally decided, after one last swing. With the flick of her wrist, she tossed the pan into the grass. She leaned back on her palms into the darkness. It really was rather lonely sitting all by her lonesome.
A hand rushed her forehead, shielding her eyes from the headlights that illuminate the yard. Selena had arrived.... Yes, that was clear. And who was her escort, none other than Derrek. To make matters worse, was that a cigarette in that car he was lighting? On Wiggins property? Oh dear. Some shhhh, was 'bout to go down.
Just as Lucy was in middle thought, planning how she would execute this plan perfectly, not only did a spider slowly walk across only an inch from her toes, that was a rap on the door. Both caused the brunette to jump. Really? Did Selena really not see her in that corner? Sure she was sitting the dark, but come on now. Poor girl must be blind now.
"Selllllllllllllllena." Lucy sang. She brushed her hair from her face, and huffed for a second. "I see you have a chauffeur now. Bummer. Can't you get a ticket for driving while intoxicated?" She added jokingly, as she opened the front door, and held it while for her friend. A death glare shot from her eyes to Derrek, while she retrieved her frying pan. "Ready for some Wuthering Heights, Hareton action? Come, come, dear I'll make some Kool-Aid, sugar free. Promise." Lucy flicked her eyes back to Selena and her house, ushering the girl inside, the frying pan tucked under her arm.

"Oh totally." Selena smiled and stepped inside Lucy's house. "Why do you have a frying pan? Planning on hitting my friend? Cause that'd be an amazing news story." Selena teased Lucy with a smile. Selena followed Lucy, who she quite enjoyed. Lucy wasn't normally someone she would get along with but she was a wonderful, good influence. "God, I haven't had Kool-aid in forever." Selena stated with a small, nervous laugh. "Sorry," Selena said then explained why she was so nervous "It's been, like, forever since I've had an actual girl like sleepover, with a normal level-headed friends.". Selena smiled at Lucy, she had teased Lucy in a friendly way about how innocent she was but honestly, Selena looked forward to it.

"Hit it, and quit it. You know me giirrrrrrrrrrrrrll." Lucy laughed. The thought of being withing ten feet of Selena's friends was gag worthy. Digusting. She had a theory that they only like Selena because she was the only girl that would sleep with them. Lucy hated that Selena sleep around like she did. Didn't it make her nervous aswell? It wasn't her place to judge her best friend like she was, it was just so strange. "Perhaps that is because I am you one and only normal friend." Lucy stated, with a smile. She couldn't make this all intevention...y at the begining of the night. She'd have to warm Selena up first, if it even happened tonight. She walked into the kitchen, got out a jug, and put ice in it from the fridge. "And I swear to God, Selena. If you say anything is too many calories tonight, I will beat you with my frying pan, and then force feed you twinkies." She teased, pouring the blue powder into the jug, and then filling it with water. "So..." Lucy started, leaning her elbows against the counter. "There are no parties for 'Selena the Great', to crash tonight? I am shocked.

Selena let out a small laugh. "I know you don't like my friends.." Selena began "So sorry about that." Hearing her next thing, Selena smiled "I swear you are. You're the only sane one...well I don't know if you're completely sane but more sane then the others" Selena teased her. Hearing her calorie comment, Selena let out a nervous laugh and watched her fill up the blue jug.
"Ew, Twinkies." Selena said, trying not to act nervous, mostly saying ew just to tease for her comment. "Selena the great? Ooh, I like it." She smiled then letting her eyes wander around the room. "Probably but I'd rather hang out with you, honestly." Selena told her. She loved Lucy. Selena knew that Lucy hated some of Selena's habits and friends but nothing to do about it now.

"It's not that I don't like your friends......." Lucy began to say, drawing out the last few words so she could find the correct words to say. There weren't really any words that could have really described the feeling she had towards Selena's friends. It was just there. Lucy sighed, pushing a few strands of hair out to her face. "No, I lied. I really just don't like them. But enough of your hormone crazed friends, I don't want my night revolving around Ryan's face." Lucy pretended to gag, and then flashed Selena a sneaky grin.
"Yeah, I'm going to have to agree with you on that one." She forehead creased as she thought about twinkies. She stirred the mix into the liquid slowly, listening to Selena as she spoke. "That is such a load of rubbish." Lucy stated, putting the wooden spoon down. "What? Am I not up-beat enought for you to drag to a party?" She asked with a short laugh, flicking her wrists in the air, to give herself a dance-y look. "I'm sure, I'm the best dancer Lilly has ever seen." A challenging look played in Lucy's eyes.

Selena let out a small laugh. "Of course you love them." She teased then let it go. Hearing her responce about Twinkies. "Yeah. I had them...maybe once." Selena said then making a disgusted face, showing that she hated them. Smiling at the comment about the dancing. "If we got you in some slutty clothes then I would take you to a party." She said, teasing her with a smile. "Nah. I'll take you to one day." She promised the beautiful Lucy. "I promise. Neither of us will do drugs. We'll go there just so you can get a feel of the good life." She told her.
The good life? Hahahahaha. Partying had taken up a lot of Selena's life. Her life was a blur of parties, black out and fucks. It was her life. You could call it addiction. Selena was just obsessed with the high it gave her. She got to ignore the feel of abuse for a while

"I could dress like a slut." A crease appeared in Lucy's forehead. That was just strange. If she wasn't getting invites to parties because she wasn't a slut. It made sense. At least to a drugged up tool it would. Why invite a catholic girl who would just sit in a corner and look applauded. It all made so much sense. Lucy knew she couldn't handle a party, of the sorts Selena spent her free time whoring around at. Perhaps she should get out of her comfort zone for the evening.
"Yeah..... The good life." Lucy laughed. The truth was, Lucy lived an uncannily boring life. Your normal run of the mill life. Nothing exciting what so ever. She was dying of boredom just thinking about it. Selena wasn't sober that often, was she? Was there ever a time that Selena wasn't high? Except for when Lucy forced her to stay with her? Tonight being one of those nights. Lucy felt that her house was a sort of safe house for Selena. Drugs were a scary thing in her home. Only the mildest experimentations with alcohol which Lucy would never dare try. She feared her sub-conscious mind would take over and do something utterly absurd.
"C'mon Sel, can't you trust me at a party? Am I really that crazy at parties?" She teased.

Selena smiled slightly "We could go out. If you want to" Selena said, unsure of where Lucy was going with this. Selena tied her hair up in a loose bun and said "Yeah. We could make you all non-sober for once." Selena teased, unsure if Lucy had ever drank a day in her life. Selena was normally drinking, smoking weed or smoking a cigarette. Of course, cigarettes didn't get Selena on any sort of high whats so ever it just calmed her. Looking over at Lucy, a dark haired beauty, she smiled and wondered what the girl would want to do tonight.
The fifteen year old girl looked around Lucy's kitchen. "I'm sure your life isn't that boring." said selena, who was currently twirling a strand of hair in her middle finger, curious of how Lucy lived

"I could do an hour." She agreed, a smile appearing on her pink lips. Oh, how she love to pretend to be a skank. Actually, she had never really done it before. This would be her first time going to a 'Selena Party'. It was a bit scary now that she stopped to think about it for a moment. What did one wear to such an occasion? If she wore leggings, and a v-neck shirt, would it cut it? Decisions, decisions.
Lucy laughed. "You must not know me at all." She poured Selena a glass of 'purple drink'. This whole party business was making her nervous. She was going to force herself to go though, it would be an experience, that was for sure. "Come help me find something to wear."
Lucy bounced up the steps to her room, and flicked the light on. She only had the slightest fraction of what to wear. She was going to wear, a deep red lip stick, and leggings. Then the rest was yet to be decided. Rummaging through her drawers her fingers found a sheer t-shirt. Normally she wear it with a tank-top, but since she was going to pretend to be someone that wasn't her, that just wouldn't do. She searched her drawer again, and found a dark green bikini top.
Lucy glanced at Selena for her approval before, standing in front of her mirror. Shaking her hair loose from her braid she looked at her reflection. Did she really want to do this? The question lingered, as she put on the rest of her dramatic make-up. It was too late to go back now, she decided.
