A small laugh managed to break through Jason's lips as he listened to Selena's apology. He shook his head, letting his bright, blue eyes drift down to her. "You don't need to be sorry Selena. I mean, it as going to come out sometime, so why not now with someone who won't do me wrong by it?" he asked, sort of thinking a little deeper into the whole thing, analyzing like the English teacher he was. He drifted for a moment before her next question brought the 24 year old male to attention once more.
So you're house was basically a guys house? Jason nodded, responding at first with a simple "yup", popping the p at the end. "My house was a man's only kingdom for my dad. Sure, mom was around but she was tough enough to hold her own so she was just one of the guys. Really, I was the girliest one there, but no one knew it." Jason chuckled a bit, once again feeling better about the situation. He kicked his legs idly, banging them against his desk every now and again. She told him he wasn't a failure and went on to say that she wasn't really what her parents wanted either, which he didn't know how to take. She even commented on how she didn't eat meat but Jason chose to ignore that bit. "What do you mean you're not up to the expectations of your parents?" he asked, not wanting to pry too much.

Hearing his response, Selena shrugged. 'Still sorry." She told him, glancing up at him then behind him. "How long were you hiding it?" She asked, mostly curious. Selena was pretty calm about the whole situation but was still confused on what to do. Hearing his response, Selena took a few seconds to respond. "Ahh. Tough mom." She said then muttered, mostly to herself "Sounds like a future Mia". No doubt in Selena's mind that Mia was a tough girl. Mia was physically strong, and looked like a very tough girl. Selena had fought her before, winning and losing. Selena just managed to not stop. even if Mia's hits made her want to cry her eyes out. No. Selena couldn't cry. Not over mia.
Hearing his question Selena mentally swore at herself. 'Never mind." She said simply. Mentally taking note that she should push away. Getting a text from Ryan, Selena smiled and said. "I'll see you in class." Hugging him quickly, holding her breath as she did and walked out smootly and casually."

Jason nodded but didn't really have much else to say. However, he couldn't hide the slight bit of amusement he found in Selena's statement. Mia was a student of his as well and she had her reputation securely in tact. She was the fighter and he was sure that Selena was right, Mia would more than likely be tough mom. Still, Jason couldn't help but be thankful for Selena at the moment. She had helped him so much more than she knew just being there to listen to him, and he wanted her to know that he would be there to do the same. Even if she did mutter a very sour sounding "nevermind" to his last question. He hugged her back though, knowing it was something that somehow meant a little more to each one of them than they were willing to admit.
Just as she was leaving, Jason called back to her for a moment. "Hey, Selena. If you ever decide you need to talk to someone, I'm here too." he gave her a faint smile. "I will see you tomorrow, don't be late/" he joked, giving her a last wave, thanking her with the distant look in his eyes.
As she walked out, he sat down and continued sorting through his papers, a stressed feeling leaving his body as he did.
